Help for cleaning of photographs

Was hoping that someone on the Scrapbooking side may know of a product I can use to clean off some marks on printed pictures.

I know there are so many cool products that are used in scrapbooking, and was hoping someone could advise me of some type of solution that would not damage my matte photos -- I have some marks that I am hoping I can erase/wipe off and save having to reprint all the pictures.

Are these images you have printed yourself ... and have you any idea what caused the marks?

I printed them thru a lab, and I had marked the backs with highlighter on the image number to be able to see the number quicly. I let the highlighter dry, but I see that having them stored on top of each other, the highlighter has rubbed off onto the front of the pic it was on top of.

I would hate to go and print another 40 or so prints at $1.00 each, if I can salvage what I have.
