Change The Text Color On Scanned Document?

Hey. I scanned in a document that was on white paper with black text. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to change the color of the text? I don't want to edit the text, just change the color for printing purposes.
Thanks in advance.

Try this way. Make sure the Image mode is RGB Color. Duplicate the layer. Add a blank layer below the duplicate layer and fill it with the color you want the black text to be. Then set the blending mode of the top layer to screen and the black text will change color but the white will stay white.

Another way would be to select it using the magic wand then use the paintbucket to fill it with the new colours

TnnyW: Thanks, that worked well. I will also try the magic wand tool. On an unrelated subject, how do I stop my image from jumping around when I am using the crop or magnetic lasso tool when in standard edit view (other than moving verrrry slowww)? It is driving me crazy! Thanks again!

Hey. I was just exploring the forum and found the answer from TonyW, so a reply is not needed. I am sure almost every question has been answered here somewhere. Thanks.

I doubt we'll ever reach every question and answer due to the depth of PSE 3. It offers so much and in many cases more than one way to achieve results. So if you don't find it searching then ask away someone may have been there already and can answer.
