Civil War Soldiers

This photo is circa 1862 of Union Soldiers taken at their miltary camp. Several things I noticed before starting the restoration was condition of their uniforms and they appeared to in need of a bath. The dirt on their faces and hands stands out. The original frame for the photo was made of copper.

This one of the most difficult restorations I have completed. Ink smears were on the face and uniform of one of the soldiers. But what fun to restore family history.

John, I think you have done a great job. I have done little in the area of restorations, but judging from the results you have done a terrific job on this one. Harvey
