Fireworks flower

I've never seen anything like these flowers before. I ordered them from a catalog last Fall, & they're just blooming. They remind me of fireworks. Hope you like the photo - it was taken just after it rained. (I also have a copy of it in my gallery)

I was so intrigued by your picture that I had to look up some information about the flower.... and found that it is a member of the onion family!!

I think that increases it's "coolness" factor!!!

That's a great shot of a very cool flower. They dry very well too if you can stand to cut it.

Ellen,
Someone else told me that I could dry them. Do you know the best way to do it? They've been in bloom for probably a month now, so I guess I'd be o.k. with cutting a couple of them.
