Slide Show Question

I have a slide show creation inquiry.

My photos were taken with a Canon EOS digital rebel with a size of 3072/2048, resolution 180. After working with them in Elements 3, I created a custom slide show for later export into Premiere Elements to create a DVD. I noticed that within the custom slide the photos contained rough pixel outlines and appered out of focus even in full screen view. I then went to simple slide show creation where I could enter the pixel values and this show was fine and matched the photos without any pixel rough outlines.

I do want to use custom slide show creation but not sure what I can do to correct the results mentioned above.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
