Epithelium Flower

Added a picture of an Epithelium in bloom to my gallery.
Hope you get a chance to view it. Comments always appreciated. Harvey

Harvey,

WOW, that's beautiful!

Is the plant like a Christmas cactus?

Gorgeous! Wouldn't that red be a great paint-in for the homework assignment this week.
I also love the way you did the bluebird.

Thank you both Kim and Martha....actually I spelled it wrong and should be EPIPHYLLUM, also known ar the orchid cactus and blooms just during the night so sometimes known as 'queen of the night', originally from Central America and Mexico where there are some thousands of varieties. Glad you liked the pic. Harvey

That's a very beautifull flower, it looks so delicate.

Ron, Ann and HFG, thank you all for your comments which are appreciaeted. The EPIPHYLLUM plants
are readily available, and can grow just about anywhere. They are tauted as a 'plant you can't kill', which is pretty much the case. They live in sandy, moldy (preferrably) bark pieces or shavings for a potting medium. Soil is ok, but they prefer the former. They come in literally hundreds of colors, and thousand plus variety. Prices are around $3 per plant. Harvey

Harvey,
If they only bloom at night do you have to drink a lot of coffee to stay up to watch them? LOL
