How to convert clip art CDs?

I have some CDs with clip art that I purchased a while back. They are in
.wmf format. How can I use them in PSE 3? They won't read in, and I don't know how to convert them.

Thanks

Bobbie

Bobbie,

After seeing your post I thought I would try something. It worked, but I used Paint Shop Pro to convert the picture to .jpg. Not knowing if you even have other photo editing software, this probably won't be much help to you. I'm sure however there must be some shareware software out there that will convert .wmf formats to .jpg or other formats. If you do have other software that will read the .wmf, then open it in that program and see if you can do a "Save As:" and set it for .jpg.

If this hasn't helped you, keep asking. Other people here will respond I'm sure.

Dorrie I never thought about that but most of my clip art is in the print shop and I think stashed in a database that I can't access, could be wrong. But if I get to where I need a conversion I'll take your advice and search the internet to find something.

It worked!

Thank you Dorie,

I do have an old version of Picture it that I have not used in a while. (Actually I forgot about it.) It read in the clip art, and let me save it as a jpg.

Thank you for suggesting that.

Bobbie,

Here's a web site that has a free downloadable coverter for all sorts of file formats. It should work for what you want.

Here's a forum link to show you how

Go to the Beginner's Forum and look at the topic about 'Unable to open .wmf' files. It has a plug-in that will allow you to open wmf files.
