Saving As A Custom Shape
I created the slide mount and now I would like to save it as a custom shape for future use. How (what format) and where do I save it?

Unfortunately, PSE doesn't have the tools for making Custom Shapes - it needs vector tools, and PSE just doesn't have them.
Fortunately, though, you can save it here: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Photo Creations\artwork\graphics either in one of the existing folders there, or you can simply create a new folder for it. It will appear in your Artwork & Effects palette, in the artwork section, in the submenu you put it in. Save as a 24bit PNG, with transparency, and you'll be good to go (although other formats - jpg, pdf, psd - will also work.)

Hi ...
Its not possible to save custom shapes in any version of Elements ... what you can do is save the raster shape (raster just means a pixel image instead of a vector one) in a separate folder and then use it next time you need it ... When I make things like this for saving I tend to make then large size & high resolution so that, in the future, they can be used in any size of image. Wendy

then the specific graphics folders. I have "stuff" that was already loaded there - didn't know it existed. How do I access this "stuff" while in Elements 4.0? How do I use it?
