I got Image of the Week

Wow, I really didn't expect to have my picture end up as picture of the week. I just changed that picture I took in Venice to black and white this weekend.

Thanks for choosing my picture.

Yes this picture is awesome...it goes on and on and on. The way it is captured we are taken beyond the border of the image. We feel as tho we are pretty much there....at least I do

Thanks for the nice comments. The picture was almost a fluke. I almost didn't take it as I have a very similar one with my wife in it. She told me to take a second one without her in it.

I converted the picture to black and white using the Channel Mixer add-on. It's the method that is descibed in the latest issue of the newsletter plus a little more adjustments of my own to stop the sky from getting washed out.

Great picture Chris! I am definitely sold on that convert to black and white method also. I just need some good "flukes" to work on.

I LOVE that photo! And the black and white really gives it a wonderful mood. I sent the link out to my husband -- he loves pics like that.

Isn't it fun to see your photo up there, featured? You're a celebrity now!

I really enjoy this new gallery option. It gives everyone a chance to showoff their work outside the realm of the challenges.

That Venice picture is just one of many that I took on my trip to Europe a few weeks ago. I now have close to 800 pictures to play with in PSE. I can't wait to start my next "masterpiece"....lol I can't believe how enjoyable it is to enhance and edit pictures. When I started late last year I didn't think I would get so hooked on it.

Thanks again for all the wonderful comments.
