Photo theme #67

Both Nancy and Tony suggested using a color for a theme. That sounds fun, so this week's theme is blue.

Because the purpose of the weekly theme is to get us more familiar with our cameras and to sharpen our photographic skills, entries should be taken during the week of the theme.
Photoshopping is allowed.

I'll start this off as this local heritage building was on our morning dog walk. Known as "The Blue House" it was built in 1887 by Frank Smith a local railway worker. For many years it was next door to the local hospital but got moved when the hospital expanded. Now headquarters to the local oil museum and heritage society.

And yes - it looks cold because it was cold but at least we hit a brief period of blue sky between snow showers. Might have to work on reducing the contrast and warming it up a bit!

Went down to the beach this morning and found nothing but blue. Under ordinary circumstances I would try to touch up the photo, but since it was blue I was after this is straight out of the camera. I have to go work in the yard now, taking out some spent blue oat grasses, which are kind of gray right now.

Took this picture today...this is my exercise ball and it's blue so guess it counts.

Blue, Blue, Blue? I couldn't come up with anything blue. Oh wait...
my laptop I stare at every day.
Used the extrude filter on the laptop and added a blue background.

Well - my daughter's work shirt is certainly blue. I was gonna tight crop this but then figured what the heck. I will be happy to share the hoosier chair with you. You see - if you have a rocker sitting in front of your sofa - you might be a redneck. My husband drives me insane with this chair. He went out and bought it after we bought the other furniture because it was so comfortable and he likes watching TV in it. Only problem - he moves it in front of the loveseat and then no one else can use the loveseat. I have to move it back every day or any time company comes. Makes me CRAZY!

I do not have a lot of blue around so digging through my hubands office and grandkids playroom came up with this. He is really into nascar.

I looked outside at the sky between snow showers today and noticed the blue sky. The colors are straight out of the camera, no photoshopping!



I'm going to try Linda Judd's technique on them.

I keep finding things that fit the theme from the week before. This retro blue poodle and the wall color confused my camera and me to no end. This is the only shot that has correct color but the wall is noisy and I don't know why.

I had a pretty bad case of some kind of flu /bug so didn't get out to take any pictures for the last few weeks so I hunted around and remembered the "Blue Sky " of this image. I know I probably broke the rules.........
