Smile I learned something new today

Maybe everyone else knows this already, but for me it was a new discovery.

In previous versions (3 & 4) a layer style could be adjusted by clicking on the small "f" icon on that layer. Version 5 seemed to no longer have this icon. It does however have a star (*) like icon, which is where I made my discovery. If you double click the Star Icon you get all the different setting like before to adjust the layer style. Woopee!!

Now tell me you alread knew that.....it's okay.

Yes Dorrie... I had already found it. Sad that they took out our Global Lighting.

Jodi, I think a sunburst is a very nice name.

Well I was just going by what they called it in the help file, however I like Sunburst better too. To bad the Adobe folks didn't think of that.

Sorry if I'm behind the times on this version 5. I just hadn't seen anyone who had mentioned it yet.

I don't think you are behind the times. I just happen to come across it. I'm sure it will be helpful to those who haven't found the sunburst yet.

Dorrie,
if you don't like the effects you've created with the sunburst just Alt Click on the sunburst and drag it to the Trash Can. You can if you want the same settings on another layer Alt Click on the sunburst and drag it to the other layer.
5 is great, isn't it

Maybe your right Kimi. There's just so much to learn and I don't do it so fast anymore.

By the time I get though reading all the new thread messages, I've run out of time to work on projects. It seems like I can't keep up anymore, 'cause there are just too many messages to cover. When I first joined it was much easier to keep up. Now I'm finding that I just skim through them and am not able to respone to them as often.
