Adding to your library

Hi my name is Matt. I work for Best Buy. I myself use PHCS2, but i had a customer approch me with a question that i didn' t know. I am not fimilar with the flow of PSE5. That is where you come in. As you have guessed from the title my topic is adding to your library. My customer named "Paul" bought PSE5 so that he could edit his NEF RAW files off his Nikon D50. He loves the program (which is good because i reccomended the he not buy 4 and wait a few months for 5 to come out) but he is having trouble adding things to his library. He has used other programs and want to get those images into his library. He believes they are all jpegs and i talked him throught how to do a save as to make them jpegs if they are not already. I just need to know how to add those files to his library and any tips you might give to someone starting out. I have a tendency to talk to nerdy and i don't use PSE5, hence why i am not sure on the click pattern. I think is is something along the lines of files add to library.

Hi Matt

Welcome

You have to go into the organizer part of the program and pick get photos.

Not trying to blow you off or anything.. it is really nice to see someone go the extra mile for their customer.

But why not get your customer to log in here and ask. It would be easier than us telling you to tell him to ask you to ask us to tell you...etc.

Besides, this is a great forum and if he likes Elements, he will just adore this place.

I plan on telling him. I just found this site today and i plan when i call him tommorrow to let him know. And as i see it going the extra mile is what seperates physical stores from the internet. Online stores will beat our prices due to overhead. We give the full 360 degree solution. I expect myself and all my fellow employees to do the same.
