And another question!

Here is an example. I was adding a warming photo filter on this card. The filter covers the photo and canvas. Is there something I should be doing to prevent this. I add the canvas at the end after the photo filter. The colour of the canvas on the photo filter showed as white but came out the colour of the warming filter. I seem to be running into a few mysteries with PSE5. I never had the problem with 3.

Hi Shari,

The image looks nice. I think you could rearrange your layers so that the warming filter is just under the canvas. Alternatively, you could use the mask on the warming filter to block it from that area of the image. Control click on the layer thumbnail which has the canvas to select it. Click on the photo filter's layer mask. Use the paint bucket to fill with black paint.

Good luck.

Boy, I would have thought you would have been "saf" adding the canvas at the end too! Seems strange that it would affect a layer about it.

Th's a nice picture, please tell me its from last year and not already this year!!

Hi Shari

If your photo and canvas are on separate layers then Group your Photo Filter layer to the photo. Layer>Group with Previous.

If not then use the Photo Filter mask as Norm suggests

Thank you both. I ended up using Butch's method but have written them both down on my notes. And Colleen - I only wish we got this much snow in Vancouver. Maybe once every ten years we get a nice dump. These are my photos from my trip with my sisters to Sun Peaks ski resort last March. I am going to post two images in another thread to see who likes the warming filter and who not as I have a lot of photos to work with.
Thanks again. This help is great.
Shari
