Output format for slide shows

Is there any other format in version 5 than WMV for output of slide shows? I am interested in either AVI or MPG

Thanks
Bill

Talking

For slideshows, I always use File>Process Multiple Files.

I send the files to another folder (Slide Show Temp), and have all photos resized to my specification. i.e. for my large screen HD I use 1280X720, and if it is being sent to friends, I usually use 740X480 which approximates letterbox, but looks good on most TV's.

Once I have made up the slideshow folder, I use that with my slideshow program and use the MPG2 format to generate a playable DVD on a TV. For my slide shows I prefer Sony's Vegas software. Those who are smarter than me most likely prefer Photoshop Elements.

I tried to use the Organizer many times, and studied a few tutorials. For some reason the Organizer is more work than I can handle. I find it easier to burn 8 gig DVD's and keep a log of the DVD's and subject matter on the DVD.
I'm certain you who do not get frustrated by the Organizer are much better off. The Bride almost checked herself into the local mental institution when she accidentally ended up in the Organizer - I had to get ther out of it!

Roadrunner thanks for that info. I could use Roxio and do the slide shows as it offers some better features especially music handling. The organizer does not appear to be too difficult except for the limited output selection. The organizer slide show creation also has some nicer additions like graphics, pan etc.

Anyway I will take a look at the multiple file process and see how that works

Thanks again.

Bill

PS I dont burn DVDs with the slide show as I run it from the hard drive over my wireless network for viewing on my TV in the living room. The problem is the player in the living room (DLINK) does not support wmv only avi and mpg. I can convert the wmv but I find loss in the production.
Also I could not locate the multiple file process from organizer
Thanks

Just WMV and PDF I'm afraid. Time for the PSE5/PE3 bundle perhaps?

Thanks Nick...I guess I will stick with 4...and use Roxio. I kind of liked the special effects and graphics PE4 offered

Too bad
