IPTC / EXIF Support?
I was wondering if anyone knows the level of meta data support offered in Elements 3. Specifically, does tagging or labeling or whatever it's called in the organizer update the meta data of the actual photo? Thanks.

I am also curious if there is some way to store tag info if the file's metadata.
Using the File Browser, there doesn't seem to be a way to add keywords. If you choose 'File Info' for a picture the keywords field is uneditable and it states underneath that keywords are added by adding 'Tags' to the image. However, this doesn't seem to be the case as I have not seen any of the tags that I've added to pictures in the Organizer show up in the images' metadata. Anyone know what's going on here? thanks, Aaron |

You can write tag info to IPTC Keyword by selecting "Write tag info to files" from the file menu.

This must be accomplished in the organizer, not in the editor (in PSE3).

Hi
That's great that Adobe finally have made it possible to write the tags to IPTC keywords. I think it's time to buy a copy of Elements 3! Howerever, I got curious when reading your reply regarding the tags. Does this mean that you can also synchronize caption, title and the other fields in IPTC between the Elements database and the IPTC field in each photo file? That would be great! /Peter |
