I guess it depends really on how many you print out ... I keep most of my images on the Mac and only print out the odd few, so for me its worth ordering on line.

If you do a lot then its probably cheaper to do your own.

I take loads of photos and enjoying editing them but never print any, so am giving myself a kickup the backside to starting printing.

If there isn't a Best Buy or something like that near you that carries Epson printers and thus Epson paper, I have bought from a source called www.digitalartsupplies.com. I'm not sure where they are located so shipping might be a problem but I have been happy with their paper. I picked up a pack of Epson Glossy Photo paper (not the premium quality) in an 8.5x11 size that is economical enough for test runs.

If you are printing something you have created at High Resolution and want to get a great print you may consider online. The lower end ink jets don't produce the really top notch prints even on Epson papers.

(I think I remember that the C62 has one black cartridge and one color cartridge containing 3 colors. It gets really expensive to print with that cartridge configuration because if one of the colors runs out you have to replace the whole color cartridge). :?

My Canon has 5 separate ink tanks which makes it more economical

I use a mixture of online and my own inkjet. It depends what and how many I am printing.

I use Ilford and Epson photo paper from Amazon and/or B&H Photo.

I always print my own.
