Uh, hi. I accidentally deleted my most favourite filter, Purple Tone.

And FFFFFFFFFFFFF I am not happy with myself. I have been using Photoshop Elements 6 for a year now and I'm definitely not a newbie.

But I sure do feel like one.

Anyways, I run on XP and I could not find this mediadatabase.db3 or whatever file you are speaking of. Yes, I put it so hidden files show. I looked in the place you were talking about, but it wasn't there.

...Help would be nice. Please.

Hi MissInsane, welcome aboard!

If you have your hidden files set to "show", you should be able to find the MediaDatabase.db3 file here (Windows XP):

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0\Locale\ en_US\ MediaDatabase.db3

...Oh wow.

Well, I found it and I renamed it, but...

...now all the layer styles are gone FFFF Did I do something wrong or something. A new mediadatabase.db3 popped up, do I delete the old one?

I'm pretty sure... I might not have. What if I didn't, what do I do? D:

And also, the new mediadatabase.db3 is smaller than the older file. It's like... 730 kb/whatever it is?
