Uh, hi. I accidentally deleted my most favourite filter, Purple Tone.
And FFFFFFFFFFFFF I am not happy with myself. I have been using Photoshop Elements 6 for a year now and I'm definitely not a newbie. But I sure do feel like one. Anyways, I run on XP and I could not find this mediadatabase.db3 or whatever file you are speaking of. Yes, I put it so hidden files show. I looked in the place you were talking about, but it wasn't there. ...Help would be nice. Please. |

Hi MissInsane, welcome aboard!
If you have your hidden files set to "show", you should be able to find the MediaDatabase.db3 file here (Windows XP): C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0\Locale\ en_US\ MediaDatabase.db3

...Oh wow.
Well, I found it and I renamed it, but... ...now all the layer styles are gone FFFF Did I do something wrong or something. A new mediadatabase.db3 popped up, do I delete the old one? |

I'm pretty sure... I might not have. What if I didn't, what do I do? D:
And also, the new mediadatabase.db3 is smaller than the older file. It's like... 730 kb/whatever it is? |

Just go back and do it again ... and hopefully this time it will rebuild properly
