PSE 8 won't install - component missing

We are unable to install a purchased downloaded copy of PSE 8 on a dual core Macbook with Leopard and need help. We tried it with the easy install and it went through the installation routine and stopped at the end - Unable to install, missing components. CS4 is not installed on the computer.

We tried it again clicking the CS4 install options and it failed again.

We removed the downloaded program files with the uninstall option, downloaded again and tried it. This time we got the serial code window which we didn't before. We entered the code and it went through the routine and ended with the same error message.

We took it to the Apple store and the genius could not work his magic. What are we supposed to do to get this program installed? Thank you.

Hi ...

It sounds like its the Bridge that is not installing properly ... what components does it say are missing ??

Check in applications if it tried to install PSE8 adn created a PSE8 folder ... in there there maybe an install log
