Yiiippppeeeeee and haleleulah and hoooorayyyyyyy and thank you sooooo much. Typing in what you suggest about Lightroom catalogue 2 did the trick. I took a chance with my heart pumping 9 to the dozen when after i started typing that another automatic thing came up saying Lightroom something 4 and clicked that and vavoom the program opened. I am so happy, at work i decided lightroom is not for me its to hard to even open. thank you both so much for going to this trouble and assisting me. Opening elements the first time which was totally alien to me was never like this. Looks like another huge learning curve seeing there are so many learning resources available.
Once again a big thank you Sincerly Susan and thank you also for the tip on lightroom 3
