Thanks for the well-wishes.

It seems that my well water was making me sick, so ($2400 later) I now have a water chlorinator system and my water has tested bacteria-free once a week for 3 weeks now. I guess I can finally trust it.

However, I seem to have another physical problem that kind of keeps me close to home -- not feeling too bad, but can't go walking in the park for an hour any more. Oh, well! I should just count my blessings and work with what ails me so it doesn't cause too much grief.

Facebook

To all my buddies on Facebook, this is to notify you that I have terminated my FB account because I was attacked by a message containing a Trojan virus. This virus infiltrated my buddy list and began sending notices to you asking you to open a video. Hopefully, you did not open that message as it contained the Trojan virus. Just to set the record straight, I did not send any of you an invitation to open a message containing a video. If by chance you have received this message, do not open it. I did not send it.

Because of the above, I terminated my FB account. I always thought Facebook was safe, but it is not and I can testify to it. Those of you who have my e-mail address may contact me via e-mail or on this site. My advice to you is not to join FB and if you already have, terminate your account NOW.

Unfortunately FB and other similar social networking sites are not safe from viruses. They tend to have a lot actually, embedded in the links and videos. I generally don't click on a lot of the games or links, and I make sure my virus protection is up to date to help block any incoming threats.

My sister, Iona, got a trojan horse when she went away from FB. I don't participate in any of the apps and have cut my {revised} profile to only certain people. I deleted all my photos as well. I never name anyone in my family. They are all DH, DS, DSIL, DGS, DD.....etc. It is funny when someone in my family comes in to see my DGS....asking who it is that is going to be here today!

I've been chatting back and forth with Mary Lou, Tammy and Julie tossing around ideas and we think we've got some ideas that will work for the group interested in a 2010 challenge. It offers various levels of involvement and a few new twists to address some of the issues we all faced (like the overwhelming number of participants and keeping up with commenting). We'll be posting details over the next few weeks, but in the meantime we wanted to ask y'all to post any favorite themes on the theme list that you really enjoyed pursuing. A good theme deserves another round, so list some of the themes you really enjoyed photographing in 2009. We'll plan on including some of them in the list for 2010.
A few of my faves were:

Show us your Bokeh
Any of the "color" themes
The Spiral, Curly, Curvy themes
Polka Dots
The Grungy, Aged, Abandoned themes

I like any nature-related themes (peaks & valleys, water, leaves, etc.), though it's hard to find them in flat Illinois in the wnter...
