Thank you. I didn't see the link that you mentioned. Did you forget to add it as I sometimes do.

Maybe PSE9 will come with actions already loaded.

Hi, Charlotte: Actions will show up in the Actions player as well as the Effects palette (with a generic thumbnail).

Open the Effects palette, then click into the photo effects section (the third icon on the top of the palette). Use the drop menu to choose the newly-created Add-O-Matic section - you'll see your actions in there with a generic blue AOM thumbnail. To see the names of each action, open the mini-menu at the top right corner of the Effects palette and toggle on the "Show Names" option.

If you start before the database inside Elements has finished adding the new actions to the palette, click into the Layer Styles section of the Effects palette (the second icon at the top, with Bevels & drop shadows, etc.), then click back into the photo effects section.
