Re-installing PSE7

One of my two downloaded copies of pse7 does not allow me to scroll through fonts when I want to create a title in the Full Edit mode. The second copy works fine. I thought I would uninstall and re-install pse7 on the problem machine (it runs on Windows XP). Adobe has advised me that they no longer support version 7, so I cannot download a replacement copy.

I would appreciate any advice on getting a replacement download (or a disc copy of the software), or a way of restoring the scroll bar on the fonts. Please note: the font function does generate a drop-down list. There is just no vertical scroll bar.

I would consider an upgrade to pse10, but have read some negatives on the product, and pse7 meets my needs.

Hi pib56,

If you purchased a PSE7 download, you should still be able to download another copy.

Go to Adobe.com>My Adobe>My Orders. Sign in with your Adobe ID. Then go to My Order History and click on the PSE7 link. Next click on the Akamai Download Manager link. Once this is downloaded, you can proceed with the download of PSE7. (Note: I tested this a few minutes ago. It worked. I was able to download another copy of PSE7.)

As to the missing font scroll bar, you may want to check this.

The link you included solved my problem. I guess my problem was in windows settings and not in pse7. I will also try the download. I just wasn't comfortable trying it and then learning I had totally lost pse7.

You are most welcome! Glad to hear you solved your problem.

The Akamai Download Manager won't install PSE. It will just download the program to your hard disk drive. It may be a good idea to get another copy of PSE7 and then make back-ups of it (on CD, DVD, or external HD drive). In this way you will have it handy.
