Light Streaks and Define Brush

I was following a tutorial learning how to make light streaks on Elements 10 and part of the instructions was going to "Edit" - "Define Brush". I created the a few dots on my canvas and when I went to select Define Brush, it was grayed out. I tried to play around with some options but nothing worked.

Does anyone know why this happens and how I can fix it, thanks.

Hello and welcome to the EV forum.

You are probably trying to define too large a brush. Anything bigger than 2500pixels will result in a greyed out Define Brush.
