Hi Cindy ...

... and welcome to the Village

So glad that you now have it back ... Adobe have made it far too easy to delete these.

Same problem need some help!

Thanks so much for this thread! i was hoping it would save my day but for some reason despite several attempts to delete and re-open photoshop, it still reloads without the colorful center one that I am missing.

I went into the photo effects folder and I see that I am missing the the colorful center ATN file, and I downloaded a zip that someone posted for the xml document... if someone were to send the ATN file, would that fix my problem? Or what can I try next? I deleted another effect accidently as well, but I don't recall which one it was, so was hoping this would restore them all!

Thanks for all the help so far!

To add on, I am using windows XP with Elements 8. I was able to find all the hidden folders and find the database to delete and did do that as described. I didn't touch anything while it was rebuilding, and I tried it all several times... sigh! I'm thinking I'm just gonna unistall reinstall...!

Hi Samantha ...

... and welcome to the Village

I'm not sure how you managed to delete the action file itself ... you can't do that from within Elements ??

Here is a zip file with the action in it ... unzip it and install it in Elements. Then delete the mediadatabase again and let it rebuild
