I came across this site which has a number of additional features you could add to your version of PSE. I was wondering if anyone had used this and could offer any comments about it......pros or cons.

A few of of have downloaded and are happy with it. Elements+ are actually a set of actions that were created in Photoshop and can then be executed in PSE (some actions which normally cannot be done)
Try the download version first to see if you like it and then download the full version.

The installation pops up this screen asking that you put the program in the PSE7 data folder. I've got no folder that looks like that with the closest being "Photoshop Elements 7.0". When I used that folder nothing happened. Any idea of what I'm doing wrong?

Hi Bob ......that's one question I would also have if I buy the full set of features.
I have PSE 7 on my PC running windows so I would find it in Program files/ Adobe/ PSE 7. Perhaps the Program data folder is a Mac thing. Hopefully someone can help us determine if the downloads go into a separate folder or into one of the PSE 7 folders that are already there like presets or ??. So the folder is then the same as where "ThumbsDatabase.db3" is located. To open that folder, run my free program named "OpenFolder" with option no 3 (download item no 1, my Website), or read my later reply to Sepiana about running it on-line... Benny

Hi,
The "ProgramData" folder is part of Windows Vista. First, make sure hidden folders are visible. Go to My Documents. In the Folder Options window, click on the View tab, and then select "Show hidden files and folders." Now you should be able to see the whole path: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\7.0

Hi, the download will install itself in the PSE7 folder which is already there.

Sepiana: The free program I wrote, will open the folder, no matter WinXP or Vista. No matter visible folders, or not visible folders...
Try it on-line instead of download: Choose "Run", not "Save": http://fineraw.com/stuff/free/OpenFolder.CMD Benny, PS: WindowsXP, or Vista - Whenever we need to open a Photoshop folder; Ramera RAW, actions location, or whatever... - just click the link above ![]() BTW: The above project is closed. The next project is about a script to extract Exif information from photos; http://www.elementsvillage.com/forum...078#post461078

Thanks for that info Sepiana. I am using XP so that's why I don't have the ProgramData. So I just use the Program Files path that sends me to the Elements 7 folder and I don't need to add the download to any specific folder inside that already exists........ if I'm understanding you correctly.
Not sure what happened with Bob's attempt when he stated "The installation pops up this screen asking that you put the program in the PSE7 data folder. I've got no folder that looks like that with the closest being "Photoshop Elements 7.0". When I used that folder nothing happened. Any idea of what I'm doing wrong?" But before I download the full package I would like to know if you or anyone else has downloaded/used the full ElementsPlus package for PSE 7? I'm just not sure if there would be any harm done to Elements by adding all these extras and whether or not they really do work well enough in Elements to be considered worthwhile. Thank you |

Benny, I didn't know that. This is great! It makes life much easier. Thanks for the link! I need to spend some more time at your website -- there are some really neat goodies.
