My first technique!

Don't laugh! This may not look like much, but it was a real struggle for me! I finally subscribed yesterday and picked a video to try as my first attempt at PSE4 techniques. It took a while, but I finally got through it! I'm still not sure I did the Pixentral link correctly, though... Will I ever get the hang of this stuff?!!!

Oh, that's beautiful!! Is that a picture you took, too? Nice work!

On the pixentral thing, you did fine. If you want a thumbnail of the picture in your post, just scroll to the bottom of the pixentral page after you've uploaded your image and choose the forum option and paste that link.

Thanks, Kay! Yes, I took the photo a few weeks ago, but not with my new Rebel XTi. It was taken with my HP C945. I'm still waiting for my first new lens (50/1.8) before I really start trying with the Canon. I hope it arrives soon, because fall is here...the flowers will be gone soon!

Ruthie, thank you! The fact that I ended up with a finished project is a real statement about the quality of the training available on this site! I usually give up in frustration when I attempt to do creative things on the computer, but I actually finished this one!

Janet it looks GREAT!! Now that you are a subscriber you need a signature and a link to your gallery. Here are Wendy's instructions.


Click on User CP at the top of the page then on Edit Signature and copy and paste this into it:

[333url=http://www.photoshopelementsuser.com/gallery/viewgallery.php?user=xxxx] My Gallery[/url]

Where it says My Gallery type in what you want to show in your signature.

Now remove the 333 and where it says xxxx type in your user number. Make sure that you don't add any extra spaces ..

To find your user number ... click on Access my Gallery then click on "Share my Gallery" and you see the user number there.

Thanks, Kimi! What gallery? I won't have a gallery for quite a while, I'm afraid. I've spent hours looking at everyone else's, though, and I'm truly inspired! From now on, when I take a photo, I'll have a much better idea of what to strive for.
