Can't help with the adaptor but in cases like that I'd use the 18-100 and shoot a panorama if they don't all fit in one frame. I shoot lots of handheld panos and they are easy to stitch in together...

I leave my settings on 8 bit and sRGB for color settings when moving from LR into PSE. If you do the primary editing in LR then you should be fine with those settings.
