I had fun last evening playing with creating 3-D photo cubes, as explained in Scott Kelby's Down & Dirty. It was pretty easy, so I thought I'd try putting a photo on a sphere, also using the 3-D filter. But it's not the same, I discovered. Can anyone point me to a tutorial or some instructions for wrapping a photo around a sphere???
Thanks!

Linda,
There is no easy way to do that one ... you could try Filter>Distort>Sphereize but to get it right you will need to experiment :)

So, Wendy, can you tell me what the sphere is for under filter>render>3-D Transform? Or is that too complicated for this forum? I can't seem to find anything about it in any books I have.
If you can just point me in the right direction, I'd be happy! :-)

Linda,
The filter is not very popular ... in fact with Photoshop CS it isn't even installed in the program anymore its just on the CD.
Here is a link to a tutorial on it ... its far better explained with images than words :)

Ignore the part about how to install the filter as its already installed in Elements.

waiting for my turn at the morning shower (2 teenager daughters!) and now thanks to you Wendy, I have a new web site to learn from! Thanks!!
It might be a lot easier to concentrate though if I wasn't constantly hearing the sizzling of my frying brain from all this knowledge it's trying to retain though!!
