I need help. I have uploaded 2 images - one before and another after I have selected an area and filled with color. No matter what I do, I can't get rid of the light colored halo. I have tried defringing, expanding selection and filling, changing border size - and still the halo. I know experienced users probably can tell me what I need to do different.

Hi Dave
The link below should help you out...try it

If you don't want to try the procedure you can also make your selection then inverse it and contract your selection a few pixels with modify select then feather the same few pixels then inverse again to fill.

Hi Dave ...
A simple way to try is to select the eraser with a soft brush, lower the opacity of the brush and gently run the eraser around the white fringe :)

Butch and Wendy, thanks for the responses. I have been removing the light colored edge on my selections by using the brush technique, but thought maybe I had been doing something wrong to get it so often to begin with. I also learned once again to do a search of the forum before posting a new thread, as many times the solution to my problems have already been given. Butch, thanks for the link to your tutorial.
