Order Of Photos Displayed in Browser

For some reason my PSE 3.0 shows images taken over a year ago 1st in the Browser. Then the last images taken are in correct order.
What is the problem?

Are you in date view, folder view, or import batch view?

Is the year correct in the properties of the photos that are in the wrong place?

Have you done a file>catalog>recover lately?

I am in the Browser which appears after PSE loads. I think it is just "the nature of the beast" in PSE.
If I dont tag images and do a "Find w/no tags aok..
