Use clone stamp tool?

How can I take an object from one photo(say,a tatoo or a diamond stud earring),and transfer it to a person in another photo?I have a friend who HATES body piercings and I want to doctor a picture of her as a joke.Thanks!

Oh, that's funny.

I would open the picture with the piercings use the rectangle took to select the area, Ctrl-C and then Ctrl-v it into the other picture.

That's how I do it, but I haven't been doing it very long, someone else may (probably does) have much better information :D .

although, if you are doing an earring, you may want to use the circle tool and not the rectangle.

I left this out.......I would then (after you've pasted it in) take an eraser with a feathered edge and erase the parts I don't want. You may also need to use the move tool and make the selection larger or smaller by holding the shift key and dragging the corner in or out.....
