cross painted edge question

Hi I'm trying to do this tutorial and I'm stuck at the create a layers mask. When I do this I can't move my mask layer below the first layer. Everything looks the same except I have a box next to my layer mask. If I hold my curser over it it says (indicates painting on layer or layer mask) Any ideas? Rick

Hi Rick ...

To drag the layer mask layer below you just put the cursor over the layer thumbnail. click and hold down the mouse button and drag ... then let go. Just the same way that you would move a layer ...

The little button to the side is simply how it looks in PSE3 ... the Video is using PSE4 and it just looks a little different (but it works in the same way)

hi again and thanks, yes I see, I was trying to drag from the middle of the layer, actually I can drag from either side and it worked, Thanks Rick
