Have just installed P.S. 3. I have the date on my digital camera, but it doesnt show on the photos.
If I take photos on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, and do not load them into the computer until, say, Sunday, what date will appear on the photos? Is it the date I load them into the computer? Thanks for help.

It should be that date you took the photos ....

What do you mean by "It doesn't show on the photos"?

My Powershot A70 user guide reads "The date/time cannot be inserted in the actual image even if the date/time have been set".

Hi,

Even though the date and time will not appear on your images ... when you import them onto your PC and look at them in PSE3 you will be able to see the date and time in the data.

The information should be when you actually took the images and not when you imported them to your PC ... well that is as long as your camera is set to the correct date and time :)

That is exactly what I wanted to know. We shall be in S. Africa for two months, and this is a wonderful way to remember where hundreds of photos were taken. Thanks Wendy

Oh that is OK ... just make sure that you have the camera set to the correct date and time ... especially when you move to different time zones.

Oh that raises another point ... if you change the time will it change the time on images that you have in the camera on your card. I don't know the answer to that ... can anyone else help??

Two months in S Africa sounds wonderful ... I do hope that you will be able to keep in touch with us whilst you are away, it would be great to hear all about it :)

We spent a month in Cambodia and Vietnam last year, and I became a believer in the digital camera - and Photoshop. My motto now is "You cant believe what you see". Cloning distractions out of photos, cropping, etc. is so great. Now I have PS3 I am expecting better things.
The only problem is going through two months worth of photos. I have memory cards with a total of 1,000 images - shall probably have to find a computer shop to put some onto CDs.
Shall probably need your help when we get back in June.

Oh Wow ... the thought of coming home with 1000 images to deal with!!. I'm not sure if I could cope with that :)

Hope you have a great time and look forward to seeing the photos when you get back :)
