I am so frustrated right now. I have PSE4 and I am trying to print out 0.75x0.75 images for photo tiles, but every time I try to merge or flatten more than one or two layers (if I could do it the way I wanted to, I would have to merge 96 layers), it tells me that my scratch disks are full. I've changed all four of my possible scratch disks to our portable 120gb drive, and restarted the computer, but am having no luck. It also takes about 12 years for PS to print one measly line (about 6-8 0.75x0.75 images) off of our printer (an Espon Stylus). Can anyone help me? I am ready to pull all of my hair out in total frusteration!
Thanks!

First, try to reset the preferences : Immediately after double-clicking on Elements' icon, press and Command - Shift - Option (Shift - Alt - Control on the PC). Answer yes. Then try what you were doing again.

Ray, I appreciate your help :) I tried doing the Shift - Alt-Ctrl and nothing happened. I know that if I go Edit- Preferences I have a bunch of options. Will something there help me?

Are you on Windows or Mac? If Windows, I know there's a way to manually delete the preferences, but I don't remember where they are (I'm a Mac user).

Hi Ray, I have Windows, but there are many days that I wish we were Mac users.

Hi JodiD ...
You do have to be really quick when you hold down the three keys .. otherwise you miss the moment when the prefs will be deleted.
Try closing down Elements
then hold down the keys with your left hand and click on the Editor Startup icon using your right hand.
Do let us know if you get it to work this time :)

Wendy and Ray, thank you so much for your help - it worked! I did the Shift-Alt_Ctrl very quickly and then said "yes" and was able to merge 32 layers and very quickly too. Thank you!
