No Restriction Croppint

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I recently bought PSE4 so I have alot of questions.
I'll start with this one.
When I crop pictures, should I be using the "no restrictions" or one of the other selections in the dropbox? Explain to me what these options are all about.

Hi Judy ..

... and welcome to the forum :)

All the settings in the box just set the crop tool to the listed ratios .. (for example 5 x 5 gives you a square image)
Use Photo Ratio ... well that really explains itself it just keeps the shape the same as the original image.
and No Restrictions means you can either crop it any shape you wish by leaving the boxes blank or you can type in your own sizes for the ratio in the boxes.

It just means that you get lots of options for the ratio of your cropping :)
