New user needs help to make a DVD!

I am a new user to photoshop elemnets and premier elements. I have just made a slide show in photoshop elements using 150 scanned images, dissolve tarnsitions and some pan and zoom. The file was 'sent' to premier elements to make a DVD. In this process I created two simple titles and clicked on the 'make dvd button. This is where I need help. My 3MHz pentuim 4 PC took 9 hours to create 2 files a 997KB movie clip and a 24Kb AC3 file! I cant understand why it takes 9 hours. Did I do something wrong?What do I do now with the movie clip and AC3 file to make a DVD? HELP!
