we just got a new computer and I'm trying to download premier elements onto it. I was able to do photoshop elements 3.0 perfectly. When I type in the serial number and user name for premier it keeps telling me that I have empty fields and need to fill all of them in. I've double checked the serial number many times and it still wont work. I'm so excited to start using this program. It never ran correctly on our old computer because the processor was so slow. My new computer is so fast! Can anyone help?

...When I type in the serial number and user name for premier it keeps telling me that I have empty fields and need to fill all of them in....

(What user name? Mine only required the S/N to install.)

Are you getting your S/N off of the original disc package? If you are getting it from the Help > About on your old computer, you won't get the full number - that display supresses the last four digits for security.

Another thing is to recognize that the S/N is all numeric - no alpha characters.

I apologize for suggesting these very basic things, but at least you can rule them out!

yes, i'm getting the serial number from the back of the original package--its all numbers. It does require a name and S/N. I'm going to try it again right now and see if it will work.

ok, tried it again and it must have been the way I was entering user name. This time i tried with no caps and it worked--go figure. anyways, thanks for your help and now that I have a computer that can handle premier elements I'm sure I'll be asking alot of questions as I learn. I cannot wait to put all my videos and pictures of my son into a slideshow!!
