I see that there is an Elements Forum being held this Friday, May 5 in NYC at the Javits Center. Has anyone ever been to one of these in another city? I am wondering if it is worth driving in to attend. Thanks for any input you could give me.

HI- search on summit in the forum and you'll see some previous discussions about these summits- what people did/thought/received.

I belong to the Yahoo elements group and they have been saying alot of great things about these. Wish it was in Seattle this year. Maybe you can look here; http://groups.yahoo.com/group/photoshop_elements/message/24476.
Hope that helps
Michelle:) :)

I attended the Summit held in San Francisco two weeks ago.

Whether it is worth attending, or not, will depend on your skill level. I felt like the material would be best suited for a "seasoned beginner", with a few forays into the basics, and a few(er) more above the mid-point of "intermediate".

I really appreciated the opportunity to see someone else using PSE. Having been trained by books, tutorials and advice from forum denizens, I had never actually witnessed anyone else going through the motions. It was interesting to observe technique similarities/differences between those of the presenter and my own.

Thank you to Kayser, Sydneysnana and Byron for their input on the Summit. After hearing about it I was planning on going, but now see that it has been removed from the list. Drat...well, I will watch for a future one to be held in NYC. Thank you.
