Hi,
I've just installed PSE4 but would like to keep Windows Photo viewer as my default viewer when Im not in PSE. I'm pretty sure there's a way to do this but for the life of me I can't figure it out.....any help would be great...thanks Leigh

Hi Leigh,
Welcome to the Forums :)
In PSE Editor, go to Edit > File Associations and click on the "Deselect All" button.
Your images should then open in the Windows Picture & Fax Viewer.

Thanks Mike, I have often wondered if there was a way to do that. I will make the alterations to my own computer and all the computers at the Telecentre. Thanks again.

Is it better to have the pictures open in windows than elements organizer?

Shari,
Sometimes it may be quicker to browse your images in Windows, rather than load PSE and go through Organizer. I guess it depends what you are doing, how many pictures you have, how they are organised etc. I view my images through DPP because it shows the image thumbnail, histogram and exif next to each other.

Shari -- it depends on how you want to view your pictures -- I use PSE exclusively - it is just that you have to wait for the program to load to view an image.
Having them where you can use windows to view is faster if you want that convenience.

Thanks guys. I better stick with what I am doing for now. My photos automatically load into Organizer and it is not slow at all (around 4,000 photos).

Shari,
With 4,000 photos I'd stick to Organizer as well...
