I have a picture that i would like to add a gradiant color from redish up top down to no color half way down. Any ideas. :shock:

Hi,
You can do this with a Gradient Adjustment Layer...
First, set your Foreground colour to the red you require.
Then go to the Create Adjustment Layer icon in the layers palette (it's a half black, half white circle). Select Gradient. When the Gradient Fill window comes up click on the down arrow and then select the second gradient option "Foreground to Transparent" (don't worry that the icon looks black, it will use the foreground colour - in your case red).
Use the Angle setting to flip the gradient if necessary.
Use the Scale setting to adjust the gradient.
If the red is too strong then reduce the opacity of the adjustment layer.
