Hi all,
Guess I'm the newbie on the block...
When using the process multiple files option in PSE3, I get an error message that says it can't process my photos because PSE3 doesn't recognise the file extension (-25600). The photos were changed (duplicated) from Jpegs to Tiffs.
Then why the error message? A bug in PSE3 perhaps? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi
Welcome to the forums.
I really don't use that feature that much, but I have had that message come up when it doesn't recognize an extension. Usually what it is, is a small index file or thumbnail file in the same folder that you are converting from. As far as I remember, all the recognized files are converted.
Hope this helps :)

Hi Gary,
Thanks for the quick reply and kind welcome. As long as PSE3 keeps doing what it should, I guess i won't worry too much about this little annoyance. Thanks again.

If you want to check, look in the destination folder of the processed files. There should be a small log file that you can open with any text editor (notepad or word). It will show what file is causing the error. I am confident Gary is correct.
PS-The last time I was in Las Vegas, I took a day away from The Strip and did some sight seeing. Henderson was one of the towns I remember passing through. A nice town.
