My husband, Don has individual photos that were taken of his parents around the time of their marriage, but there doesn't seem to be any portrait of them together at that time. So Don asked me if I could make a portrait of them together as a couple. Here is my attempt at this. Don sits and watches me use the tools in Elements and is amazed at what can be done:D !

Hi Diana ...
That is so beautifully done ... I couldn't suggest anything that would improve it at all. It is excellent ..
Well done :) :)

Diana,
I can see why Don is amazed. You've done a great job of putting those photos together. If you hadn't said, there's no chance I would have known. Way to go!

Thanks. Actually I was quite surprised that it turned out so well. I'm by no means an expert....I still have so much to learn.

hmmmmm Diana
I see some serious flaws!!!... I think you need more practice. It just so happens I have a couple of photos just like yours... Now if I sent them to you I'll bet you could practice away and send them back so I could check them out  :D
Butch
PS..... great job you are quickly becoming an expert

Very funny, Butch! :D I'm sure you could do just as well, or better, on your own photos. Although I can probably use more practice, I have plenty of projects lined up to practice on. Thanks for the compliment!:)
Kayser, thanks for your kind words. I'm still amazed myself what all Elements will do, although I'm getting more used to the little miracles it performs. I guess that's why I can't seem to stay away from using it for very long.
No matter how much I learn, I'm always finding out more stuff it will do that I didn't know about. And no matter how thick my 3-ring binder is (and I always do 2-sided printing, too), there are always new tutorials, tips, tricks & techniques others share that I can't resist printing and stuffing in the notebook in case I'll need it later. I certainly can't depend on my memory any more, so I have to print them all!:o

Thank you, my friends, for the comments. Everyone here is so supportive and encouraging. I never would have thought nine months ago I'd be doing any of this.
Those of you new to Elements, take heart--if you stick around here and pay attention, and are not afraid to try new techniques, you'll soon be creating images you wouldn't have thought possible when you started.
