I may have missed a heads up from someone but I have watched them. Had a bit of a problem on one computer - got a message to click here for active x. Has anyone else run into this?:)

Which Video are you having problems with ?

Hi Wendy
On my portable I could not get past either of the videos - clicking on the error message just closed it. On my desktop I still got the message to click for active x but when I clicked they both opened.

Were you able to watch them without receiving the active x message?:)

Hi Mary,

What are the names of these new "4/13/06" videos with which you are having trouble?

At this moment, at this web site with my computer, the latest videos in the subscriber section are both dated 4/7/06..one is Gradient Map and the other is TV Scanline Effect. They seem to be working OK.

I'm sorry the dates in the video section do say they are 4/7 - I just discovered them today.

Hi Mary;

I just tried running both of those and some of the earlier ones - I got the

same "error" message on all of them. I was able to click on the upper

corner X and they worked.

Question ??? Are you running a PC and did you do an auto update today.
I did - before today I ran those vidios - with no problem.

Hi Guys

My PC is set to auto update. I didn't check all the videos but the latest two (scanlines and gradients) played fine.

Microsoft had an Active X update on Tuesday. There's going to be another one soon. I get the pop-up also when I look at a video but it worked fine by clicking on OK.:) :)

I had the same problem after doing a Windows Update. I never could figure out how to configure Internet Explorer's security options to enable the videos to download, so I just switched to Firefox. Now, no problem. I hope that the new Windows update fixes things.

This may not solve your problem, but...

In Internet Explorer...from the Menu Bar, choose...

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced(tab)...scroll down to Multimedia and check "Play videos in web pages"

I was told that a recent MS Update may have turned this off as an aid to security. Although, to tell the truth, I'm not sure what most of the options mean.

I did do the update today before trying the videos - will have to try to find a work around and it seems that I am not alone. Thanks for letting me know it is not just me and if anyone comes up with a solution please play it forward. I will do the same for sure.:)
