I am new to PSE4, infact I just bought it yesterday. I was playing around with the albums and wondering if there was a place to download more styles for the albums. I could not find any in my quick internet searches, so I thought this would be a logical place to look.

Thanks for the help!

Shelly, Welcome to the forum. I am not into scrapping but I am sure some one will be along very shortly to help with your question :)

Are there any pre made styles out there other than that packaged with PSE4?

Thanks

Hi there ...

I noticed this thread yesterday but didn't reply because I thought that it referred to something in the Organiser ...

Being a Mac user I don't have the Organiser but I just wonder if you could confirm if it is layer styles you are looking for or styles for something called Albums in the Organiser. :)

Under Projects, you can make album pages, these are just a layer I assume.

Thanks again

Shelly I am in the same boat as you, I actually wanted to know if there was a way I could create my own album pages with local highschool logos and things like that on them. So that I can use them in elements, so far I have found no information on it. If you do find anything, please pass on your findings to me and I will do the same for you.

Thanks,

Chris

You could try making your own layout templates from one of Wendy's mini tutorials.

You can design it any way you want and save it, then use it with different photos.

Hi Diana ...

I'm stuck on this one ... are Albums something in the Organiser (being a Mac user I haven't a clue what they are) :)

They are kind of, premade templates that you just drop your photos into.
I was always a little dissapointed with the "templates" they had for cards, albums etc.

Wendy, does your version have a "Create" button up on the button bar by the Undo/Redo arrows? I guess if you click on the Create button, it does bring up Organizer, as well as the Create window, so you may not have it. I don't use Organizer and seldom use the Create function. Like Gary says, the templates available are kind of disappointing and not very versatile. I'd rather create my own.

Yeah, once you start using PSE, you find that you can do a lot more starting from scratch than by using the templates available via the create option. Once you've done anything in PSE you find yourself wanting to change everything about them.:)

Ah now I get it ...

So they are simple pre done templates.

Thank you ... us Mac users don't have things like that :)

I believe they are just part of the organizer, and can't be edited. What you see is what you get.

I have always wondered why they don't allow you to create your own and then share them. Just like brushes or shapes or whatever.
Ok maybe they do allow you, I have just never seen anything about it.

I got a copy of Elements 3 last year but I'm only now getting the chance to work with it. As for albums I've used a different program and make my own album covers and pages using Elements 1. Sample link below:

I don't know if this is what you're referring to. If it is there are other people out there who are making album covers and pages in a similar fashion.

I've not had the chance to try the Photoshop Album yet. Hope to do so in the near future and to see if my other album themes can be applied to Elements 3.

Hi Lucian

Welcome to the forums.

Thanks for the link. You will enjoy using PE3 although it can be a bit daunting at first :D .
This is a great place to ask questions and see what can be done. So have a look around.

Thank you for the welcome.

I get to baby sit the grandsons today (6 and 2) and a beagle (2). So it'll be a busy Saturday and probably tiring. I don't know where these three get all their energy but they are not sharing it.

Hopefully tonight I'll get to play with downloading some images in Elements 3. Looking forward to learning how to navigate this version.
