Hi guys.. I have a rebel xt and I have seen that some NIKON users have something to protect the LCD panel. I have searched for it in amazon and they came a few for the rebel xt but I dont know if they work.. since they're not a Cannon product.

Thanx in advanced!

When I puchased my 20D a few years ago, it came with a package of screen protectors from Sakar. I went to Sakar's website (http://www.sakar.com), but I couldn't find anything about LCD protectors. But after doing a search for "universal screen protectors", I found the following at CompUSA (http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=325283&pfp=BROWSE). This is the same 12-pack that came with my camera. they fit the LCD on the 20D--I don't know about the Rebel XT. I hope this helps.

We cut a piece of a protector of my Palm Zire to make it fit on the Powershot A410 - works like a charm!

... and is a lot cheaper than the dedicated, already cut, screen protectors for cameras!

Let a Nikon owner butt in....

Mine came with the off white cover that you probably have seen. It's been on there all of one day.

Most Pros throw theirs away:)

I did what Ray did - had some old protectors for a Palm Pilot. I was able to cut it pretty close - then could take my fingernail and work the edges off for a perfect fit. Been on there for 8 mnths so far.

You lose a little transparency - but it's OK.

Another trick - 2" clear packaging tape. It never worked as good on a Palm as one must write on it - but OK for this use - and cheap.

Hi,

My Nikon came with a mostly transparent LCD protector which I leave on most of the time. Sometimes I just can't see the image well enough esp if there is bright sun behind me so I will take it off but I rely on the histogram and not the LDC screen so that is not too often.

I saw a pack of these at Wal-Mart today - there were 12 in a pack (I think), could be cut to size, and cost about $6 US.
