Well, after popping in and out of the forum for the past several months, I've finally started a gallery. The images pale in comparison to most others I've seen (there are some very talented people here) but hey, I've got to start somewhere -- and it's great fun!!
Any feedback is welcome. 160

George,
I admired your images earlier when I was looking through the new updates to the galleries. It was nice to see some familiar Maryland sites. Great job on the border breakouts! All of your images are well presented. I'm glad you've joined us.

I especially love the Curacao Reefscape Breakout! I have a friend that does a lot of underwater shots and there is just something so beautiful and serene about them. Great Gallery!!!!! :)

Oh, George, it's a really FINE gallery! I enjoyed looking at each of your images, but especially liked the pirate ship/shark picture. Really cool. You have a good eye for composition.

Hey George
I've also been following this formum for a few months but never had the courage to put any pictures up, but everyone here seems to be so gentle. helpful and wise and having seem the warming feedback you got, think I'm confident enough to put a couple up myself for scrutiny let the experts have a look and see what they can thinl/can do to beeter them, etc. I suppose that'swhat this is all about and I'm subscrbing next pay day!
My 16 year old son thinks I'm "sad"on my Photoshop Elements forum and that MSN is soooo much cooler, but he sooooo wrong!
Thans for all the suppport which has turned me from wanting to givie up on elements to really beginning to enjoy and understand ( a little at least).
Greetings from Sunny Brighton, UK xxxxx

Thanks to all for the encouraging words.
Sarah,
You're making the right choice by joining. It seems to me that, if you enjoy using PSE to channel your creativity, there's really no better place to be than in this forum. There are so many dedicated people here with so much collective knowledge, tricks and techniques. I can't imagine a better support network.
Welcome!!

Hey George.....welcome.
I particularly like your Curacao Reefscape Breakout.
And Sarah.......I look forward to seeing your gallery too......and don't be frightened to post something and ask for ideas on how you can improve that particular image. I've found that helpful in the past and no doubt will in the future. And as far as how to actually do something, it's a case of ask and you shall receive.:D

George your gallery is great. I love the sunset pictures, love the colors. I like how the sun is framed by the tree branches in the cozumel shot.

George,
You were hesitant to post these? Very nice photos presented well. Being a diver I'm drawn to the underwater shots. They're great. WHat are you shooting with in the deep?

Great gallery! It's hard to decide, but I think the seagull against the sunset is my favorite.

George,
Your pictures are amazing, so glad you bit the bullet and decided to share.....it took me months and months before I took the plunge and dared to put anything up for perusal on this site!

I've got a 4mp Olympus C4040z in a PT-010 housing. It works great as long as you're within about 4ft of your subject.
You've got some very nice shots - I particularly like the Lionfish from Chuuk. You just can't see those in the Caribbean. Were you on a live-aboard in Micronesia?

Hey
My trip to Micronesia was land based. 6 days Palau, 4 Yap, 4 Chuuk. It was great. I'd like to go back some day for at least a month and dive every other day. This year the big trip is Cocos Island, I can't wait. Have you been there? I've seen Lion fish here in West Palm Beach. Of course they don't belong here, I think he was a tourist. LOL

George, great photos. My favourite is the little girl practicing piano.
Is that you on the magazine cover?
I'm glad you took the step to show us your work. It's always great to see new talent here.
