Tried doing shots of creations by classmates in the jewelry/art metal class I'm in. Next time I'm bringing the light box.

Eva,
I can't wait to see more. Those are so cool. Do they do the metal work too?

Wendy and Nancy,
Thank you both. I really did this by the seat of my pants. Here's a shot of the set-up in the metals lab.:D

The display case is set up and locked, I've got 7 peices in it. I will get photos before it is taken done when the glass is opened. Nancy... the metal is done by us, some have enameled peices also. I must do another shoot with the light box for the enameled and bright polished peices. Nancy...I've also been down with the crud that's been going around since Monday.

Gosh Eva ...

Not the ideal set up for photos ... you did really well with them :)

Hope you are soon feeling a bit better ...

Wendy,
That's a drill press on the right side of the little table. It was a crude set-up and the lighting a challenge so...RAW, RAW, RAW (sounds like a cheer). And 4 to 6 shots per piece as "insurance" for a total of 140 pics. :D

Oh that did make me smile ... all those photos. Still better to be safe than sorry :)

Well you certainly did a great job with that to work with. The metal work is really wonderful! I'm very impressed by the talent and work it takes to do that. I'm so sorry to hear you have the crud - it's making it's third round in our offices now. Really, really hope I don't get it again but have not felt too good all day.:(

Eva,
Great shots---very cool works too. All of those pieces take an amazing amount of work--you can see in the photos.

Thanks Gals,
This is an enamel cloissine fish pendant created by a classmate. I need to lighten it up a teeny bit. None of the pieces photographed are my creations. My stuff has a bright polish and needs a lightbox.

Eva,
It's really cool that there are so many ways to make art, you are taking photos of art & making more art in the process.

Jan,
Thank you. I have many more interesting images of classmates creations and have pieces to shoot yet. I learned a lot doing this first shoot like what I can't get away with. The camera would not focus on the bright polished metals and enamels and I know why. Diffused light is necessary. To paraphrase an old saying, shoot and learn.:D
