I use MS Publisher to create documents and booklets. Sometimes I also open Photoshop Elements (2.0) in case I need to edit photos I use. However, the window and Systray icon for Elements disappears when I switch to Publisher ! Then I can't return to Elements. It is still in the Task Manager Active Processes but the only way to get it back is to exit the program thru Task Manager. Any ideas how to eliminate this or is it impossible? I'm using Windows XP with SP1 and have 512 MB RAM.

Hi, Norman. I have used Publisher 2000 and Pub 2003 with both Elements 2.0 and 4.0 with no problems. I run both on my laptop w/512 MB RAM and Win XP pro w/SP2, and on my desktop w/WinXP home, 1GB Ram and SP1 with some updates.

Maybe some other programs are bogging you down?

Sorry i didn't have a better answer...

Microsoft maintains an extensive and usually well documented knowledge base on all its software. Did you check there ?

I checked Microsoft's support page and they note it is a problem with Publisher 2000 (article 249580)- no mention of Publisher 2003. Their solution is to do a Paste Special so I'll try that. Also will try closing Norton Virus Scan and Roxio CD Creator in Systray as well. Thanks for the suggerstions. I'll keep looking too.
