Hi Karen,
what lovely sunsets.
It seems to me that Oz is a wonderful place for photographers.
The only way that I would able to visit is if they brought back transportation:D

Nancy-Didn't you go to a butterfly house this weekend? Waiting for the pictures...
Karen- you get the most amazing nature pictures. You sure do a good job showing off your country's flora and fauna, and now the sky...

That was the plan - but when we got the call Wednesday on Sophie the plans changed. I guess we'll go next weekend. I didn't really want to leave her alone so long right now so she did not get to freaked out. She is really scared of thunder - which we learned yesterday - and we are supposed to get severe storms and tornados again today. I love spring - I hate spring weather.

So you get to enjoy all the fun of being in Tornado Alley, too,eh?We get them after they've visited you,We try to get customs to stop them at the border, but so far no luck!
Is Sophie one of your pets? Our Tuppy is afraid of thunder. He may look macho, but at the first distant rumble,he's outta here and under the nearest bed.:eek:http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/28/28_2_10.gif

Alice,
Sophie is my new puppy. This kind of explains it all

Tuppy looks like he wouldn't be afraid of anything.

Hi,BJ!Talk about a small world!Where in Walkerville did you live?We used to live on Lincoln at Ypres, but moved out to where we are in South Windsor in 1958.
Art in the Park will be coming up soon at Willistead! It'll be our 36th year there! How long were you in Windsor?

Thanks! I think you mean the one with all the little pictures? That's my daughter and my nieces two daughters. They were her flowergirls in her wedding and I took that picture a little before the wedding.

Alice,
Lived on Argyle until I went away to college at age 17. That's right across from St. Mary's Cemetary and accross from the park. When I was there the Walkerville estate was a library with playground equipement in the park. Spent my teenage years wandering the park watching for the boys! My brother went to Walkerville High school. I went to Corpus Christi which is now Brennan.

Jean, I used a frame from Jodi's Missing Styles. I think because it is an almost clear frame with some heavier white it in it really makes the whole thing stand out better. Yes it really does look like wild fire
Thanks everyone for the comments. I know every where has its own beauty and I am sure any one could take just as good a photo in their own area

Karen - we just don't get them here. I love to see pretty ones and yours are just gorgeous.
Wendy
Thanks - she is the rage of the neighborhood right now. Every time we try to walk her people come out to see her. She is getting such a big head already from all the attention.

Nancy - I just got to this thread. Been out the last few days. Sophie is sooo cute. We have International Fire Works contests for four days in the summer here and we know we cannot go out and leave our little Dachshund because she gets terrified. We have been known to leave gatherings early to get home before the fireworks start. It is just what we do for any member of our family - Right!.
Karen - your sunsets are beautiful. I went to take one the other night here but by the time I got the camera it had gone - that fast.

Hi,BJ! Just got a chance to check the thread! That was quite a while ago, then. The library's been gone for quite a while, and now Willistead's been returned to its "stately" home status. For those who want to know,it was the former home of Hiram Walker of liquor fame, and was turned over to the City of Windsor to be kept as a sort of heritage site. It's a beautiful building, and the grounds are lovely.
It's super cool to know someone on the forum from Windsor!I'll have to get a picture of Willistead to post for you,and your old homestead if you want.
