error pse 4.0 - help me

OK-
"repair" didn't work....(from the pse software cd)
I am getting an error and pse keeps shutting down on me. My power went out a split second just after a bunch of pix uploaded. The pix are on my HD and I saved them to cd and ext. HD, but I keep getting the error in Organiser when I come to a certain point of the new photos I uploaded............any suggestions?
When I run a computer check up it says my HD is 85% full.....yet when I go to disk clean up, it shows over 75 % free space???????
I have cleaned up, am now running a defrag. Anybody know what gives?

Kristy,

Your Catalog may be corrupt. Have you tried to recover the Catalog..? Hold the Ctrl key down while starting PSE in Organizer. A confirmation window will appear. Press OK.

Update:

I did recover catalog....successful, but didn't help my problem.
I have been getting rid of unneeded files, programs, doing disk clean-up, defrag, etc.
I opened pse and snuck around the organzier and managed to tag all but four pictures (seems this is where my power went out.), so I can work on them! I deleted those four from my hardrive. Last night I was able to get in pse and do a "find" with the photo number and was able to delete two out of the organizer. Hopefully I can keep doing this and get rid of the other two...
